I am the happy husband of one and father of two with the fantastic job of preparing the next generation of Christian leaders for Kingdom service.
In 2009 I completed a PhD in New Testament and Christian Origins from the University of Edinburgh, defending the thesis: The Body Now and Not Yet: An Examination of the Apostle Paul’s Anthropology, Eschatology, and Ethics in 1 Corinthians (available here).
I have an M.T.S. from McMaster Divinity College, McMaster University, and a B.A. from Briercrest College, where I also taught for a couple years.
I moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in 2008 to teach New Testament at Horizon College & Seminary. I soon traded acadaemia for administration, becoming Academic Dean in 2009 and president in 2013. (See the Installation service here.)
Although these moves have certainly limited my ability to publish academically, I love what I do. And I still retain the naive hope that I’ll squeeze a little publishing in on the side! Maybe this blog will help.
